Meeting places for young people in Zollikerberg, 2025
The study was conducted on behalf of the municipality of Zollikon between January and April 2025 through a collaboration between Daniela Eberle and Alexander Cyrus Poulikakos. Drawing on expertise in trend and identity research, architecture and urban planning, a survey was created in collaboration with the municipality of Zollikon to initiate a participatory planning process. This survey was intended as a first step to raise awareness of potential improvements and build bridges between municipal planning and social groups that have so far had little involvement in discussions about village centre development and whose voices are often not heard.
The aim was to use empirical methods and focused investigation to create a basis for the future spatial development of public meeting places throughout the municipality of Zollikon. The study was conducted through interviews, site visits and on-site surveys and summarised in a report. The report includes the survey and its evaluation, graphical representations of the evaluation, cartographic and photographic analyses of the public places frequented by young people, interviews and resultingdevelopment proposals.
In collaboration with Alexander Cyrus Poulikakos
